Well it might not be much, but it sure feels nice to be able to say over 100 :). I have recently gone through and added DJ Comments to all of the mixes and now the individual mix sections look a bit more complete, of course they will be fully completely once I get the flash streaming online, but unfortunately I have had to push back that and more do to other jobs cropping up their work load. I hope to get the events section online ASAP though.

Well, looks like it’s time to go back to work, normal work that is, and I won’t be able to do as much on the website, but that doesn’t mean I am not doing anything. Hopefully you will see the events section here pretty soon. Creating this section will be a great accomplishment for me as it encompasses a lot of code that I haven’t used before. Now I am pretty sure that I could make this section using fairly backdoor approaches and around the corn field type coding, but I am looking to advance my knowledge for the creation of this section to make it the best I possibly could.

Two other sections are going to accompany this one when it goes up, the Gallery and User Account section. Where the gallery section is obviously a gallery, the user account is a simple, and I mean very, very simple user section allowing people to join the site’s news letter, as well as RSVP for up and coming events. I might find a way to incorporate the users section for a greater purpose later on, but for now it will stay nice and simple, like the rest of the website.

Also coming soon is the addition of the flash preview module that goes in the mixes section. Our man Justin Taylor will have a prototype that will allow all but the scrubbing through songs to happen and after a short tinker that will be up.

Well a lot of work has gone into the mixes section as of late and it is almost done for now. The only part of it that remains unfinished is the flashed based preview component that will allow you to hopefully scrub through mixes as well as the usual play, pause and stop features. Right now that project is in the very capable hands of Justin Taylor, expect to see something in the form of a flash preview function in the mixes section in the next few weeks.

In other news Happy New Years everybody! The party for New Years this year is at my place. It looks to be a promising party. Parallel will be playing live of course as well as few excellent DJs. Speaking of Parallel, I have posted the first few Parallel mixes up in the mixes section, be sure to check them out!

Coming soon here will hopefully be the events and gallery sections. They will be built at the same time because they sort of go hand in hand. One of the main reasons for this site is to document the work I do as both a web designer and a DJ, and so with that in mind the events that I do on the events page will be linked directed to the gallery database to allow the viewing of pictures by event. I think I speak for everyone that have been to the different parties over the years when I say we could use a single spot online somewhere were all the pictures from all the events are posted from over the years.

With all of the work I have been putting into the DJ biz, it has been hard to find time and motivation for my website project. I completed the layout quite some time ago, but haven't actually put it onto the web, but now that has changed. The new layout is what you see before you, at this point it is still not complete, but it is something for the moment. I look forward to dedicating more time on this website as I finish up some of the bigger requirements for the DJ biz.

This website is still in test phase one, meaning that this website is nowhere near being ready for release, but I am putting up this front page for the moment to give people an idea how of things are going to look in case someone typed in skylarshelton.com. I have just recently finished the website known as ThereWillBeBrawl.com. I hope people like it! I will get to completing this website soon here, and once again all of my music and mixes will be downloadable.
